Santa Cruz bound
After three years living in the East Bay we’ve taken the plunge and we’re heading to sunny Santa Cruz. As a family we’ve been life long fans of the ocean, my husband the colder UK waters and for me, the frigid Swedish Archipelago. For so many COVID has brought trials and tribulations and we want to recognize those. But for us, it’s also given us an opportunity to step back from the bustle of everyday life and think again about how we want to live. We realized that we’ve been putting our dreams on hold while we work towards some theoretical goal. A month ago we decided to change all that and start living our dreams today.
So, we’re making the big move to Santa Cruz and we have found a georgeous little cottage on the Point, minutes from the ocean. What’s more, it has enough space for me to run a small, but perfectly formed studio to continue to build out my soft furnishings and marine upholstery business. To say that we’re excited is an understatement. At the moment we cannot quite believe that it’s happening and I guess we’ll have to be there for a few weeks before it really starts to sink in.
So if you’re around on the Point and see a slightly stary eyed Swede and Brit you’re probably about to bump into us. Come say hi as we’re pretty friendly and it would be great to get to know some new people. And if you know of anyone looking for some new curtains, blinds or marine seating be sure to point them our way!
