From Scandinavian origins…
As a child my mother taught me to sew and she would knit the most beautiful Norwegian “Lusekofta” as well as do oil paintings with my father. He would also design and make beautiful furniture and bowls with his lathe mainly out of our native birch. His mantra was simple “If it isn’t right you put an axe in it and start again.” While I don’t personally put an axe in any of my work, I have carried his philosophy that we make things properly and I have endeavoured in crafting beautiful items ever since…
